Very important visitors…

In June, Jeremy, Emily & Katie were able to make the long trip to South Carolina for a visit! It was so exciting because it was the first time Brayden could remember them being here! The last time was when he was just a few weeks old & though he “did” a lot with them, this time he could really participate & enjoy having his cousins around!! We were soooo excited they could come & get a long visit in! We stayed pretty busy! We went some fun places, like the Zoo & Frankie’s, & there was a lot of swimming/playing in water & a LOT of golf involved! :) We are so thankful they made the long trip to see us; we had soooo much fun!!! Here are a bunch of pictures from their visit!

And…we’re back!

Yeah, after once again thinking I was going to get caught up once & for all….I took one of my biggest hiatuses from the blog yet. Go figure! So I’m back to try (yet again) to catch up or at least fill in since my last post! :) Here goes…
Lots of pictures with captions was my best idea! :) This slideshow covers 1 1/2 months I think.

What a day!

Brayden & I had such a fun & funny day back in April! I was on the phone with my mom & we were talking about how windy it was. I told her, “man, I wish we had a kite,” and then we both remembered that Dad had one. We headed over to a big field in Grandma’s neighborhood for “just a bit” to try to fly this kite. Well, I have no idea how many years this kite had been sitting in my parents garage – never opened. Apparently that doesn’t bode well for a plastic kite! Ha! Thankfully there weren’t any people around to experience this or our hysterical laughter! Brayden’s poor pitiful expression just made the whole thing even funnier & our “quick visit” turned into an all day affair! We headed out to buy a new kite & succeeded (Between my mom & I we bought 6 different ones. We didn’t seem to think that was excessive, since we were going to the beach for Easter….do we recall the afore mentioned kite that started this whole ordeal that was dry-rotted from NEVER being used in years & years! Ha! We are pretty silly I guess.) Anyway, we tried out 2 & they worked really well or at least really well for a much less windier afternoon than morning. :) It was a lot of fun. After that we headed home & Brayden took a late nap. He barely woke up in time to run out the door to meet our friends at Chick-fil-a for dinner. Daddy met us there, too, & then we all headed to see Disney on Ice! It was the first big “show” Brayden had been to & he loved it! All three of the kiddos chose the same light up toy. Man, those batteries were terrible! Before we left, we had all switched for a new one b/c ours were dead! Ridiculous! We had so much fun! It was a really great day! :)
