Christmas…the first half

We were very blessed & got to celebrate Christmas with family in shifts this year…for pretty much all of December! (Not that you could tell it by our house, it was pretty pitiful when it came to decorations this year…we’ll have to do better next year!) Seth’s parents came down on their way back from working in Boone for a week for Operation Christmas Child the first weekend in December. Even though Seth worked (& slept, really) a good bit of the time they were here, we had a great visit! Brayden got his presents from Nana & Paw Paw…but the best present was the visit!
Then on December 12 we had my mom’s family Christmas. It was so much fun & it was great to see everyone (almost everyone made it) but especially to meet Kaya, the newest member of the family! We also headed to the zoo for Christmas lights & Saluda Shoals for the lights with my family (& celebrated Mom’s birthday)! We attempted making cookies as a family on Christmas Eve-Eve. It went about as well as I expected, but we tried & it will get better each year I’m sure! It was fun & we made a memory none-the-less. The other pictures are just cute winter-y shots that I had from throughout the month. My next post will be on actual Christmas…I know I keep saying that…maybe it’s a test to see who’s paying attention!?!?! Just kidding!

Almost Christmas…but not yet

Brayden & I headed to the beach with Brinn, Kaitlyn & her friend, Allison the weekend before Christmas. We had so much fun swimming in the “ssss-puh” (this is how Brayden says swimming pool – it often involves some spitting & is super cute & funny), eating, shopping (well, looking mostly) & playing on the beach! Enjoy the pics…my post on real Christmas is next…promise! (don’t forget to check out the other new post on Thanksgiving below)

Thanksgiving

Okay, I get it that today is actually Christmas & I am posting on Thanksgiving. I know, it’s old news…but I wanted to do it anyway. Oh well, I hope you enjoy the pictures…hopefully in the next day or 2 I will catch up on Christmas stuff, too!!
So for Thanksgiving we headed to the beach. Seth had to work, so Brayden & I went down with my family to see my Aunt & Uncle & great Aunt & Uncle & their families in Cherry Grove. It was so much fun & Brayden was a good boy! We spent lots of time with family, on the beach, riding on the golf cart (which he REALLY loved), checking out Ben’s truck, eating, going to Dixie Stampede, shopping & watching my favorite Carolina v. Clemson game in 3 years or so! : ) No really, I need to put a video up of what Brayden does during football games…it is really hilarious! As soon as he sees football players he yells “go, go, go!” He often tries to say “go gamecocks” no matter who the team & this particular day (maybe he sensed the extra excitement) he kept throwing his hands up & dancing around. It was too cute, & I hope he saved a little rowdiness for his daddy to see during the upcoming bowl game! We had a great time & made lots of great memories! Enjoy the pics & I promise soon it will be Christmas on our blog, too! : )
